My 1ST Braid Out on Wet Hair

Ok so its Sunday; the day I finally decided to shampoo and condish my hair.
Since I've been wearing my twisted out puff I decided to try a braid out on wet hair.
I did a dry braid out about 2 weeks ago & it looked like $hi+...b/c I used a heavy grease (Blue Magic. NOT)
I can't cornrow to save my life, but I was determined to do it today!

After watching a Braid out tutorial on Youtube, I went ahead & got to work.

Shampoo & Condish- I used Organix Vanilla Silk & Suave Shea & Almond w/ a bit of olive oil :

Braiding- I used some Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in and water mixed with Lotta Botta setting lotion. Also, I used Coconut oil to seal my ends. It took me 1 hr to braid my hair. No, I don't have long hair but I can't braid that well, I took a break to eat (lol) and watch ID.

Shrinkage is a MOFO I tell ya...
Anyhoo, I'll take pictures of them tomorrow after taking them down. I read up on a few ways to preserve a braid out but I think I might just let my little sister re-braid them to keep them FRESH!

Oh and I painted my nails, the color is a bit spring-ish, but I like it. Its by Quirius( Beauty Supply) and the color is called  Erin Island. Surprisingly it only took 2 coats.

Time to rest.

Your hair looks so nice! I love your nail colour too. I am just getting to grips with my natural hair. The you tube tutorial was excellent. I don't know how it would come out on my hair, so I will experiment. English weather and afro hair don't mix!

@ Style Mansion: Thank you! I posted the result--it came out ok. I need to invest in a new camera b/c it wasn't showing the definition of my curls. How long have you been natural? & Youtube tutorials are my best friend lol :)
